Financial Analyst

TITLE: FINANCIAL ANALYST 

LOCATION: TYSONS CORNER, VA (REMOTE)

We're currently looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is the primary support for the billing function with secondary support to the revenue recognition process. Responsibilities include remitting invoices to customers, researching unbilled receivables issues, supporting revenue recognition, and assisting with collections. This position will report to the Vice President, Finance & Accounting, with a dotted line to the accounting manager. 

 

Duties include: 

• Preparing invoices using the Costpoint Project module, following up with program managers to obtain review and approval.
• Inputting invoices to the various customer portals with proper support, such as WAWF, IPP, etc.
• Researching unbilled receivables.
• Interfacing with customers to resolve invoicing issues.
• Assisting with revenue recognition.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• 1-3 years of finance or accounting experience with at least one year of GovCon and one year of cost accounting
• Intermediate knowledge of FAR
• Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced work environment and deliver to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
• Ability to deal with uncertainty and think outside the box
• A passion to innovate
